Travelling sucks, but SoCa weather can't be beat. I'm a little bummed by the coldness and oilyness of the water there, though.

Grad students there are very cool and smart - I wonder if I'd fit in :-)

Now, 3.5 days of work, then I go to UIUC on Thursday.

You are, in fact, smoking crack - UCSD is in San Diego (thus the SD). UCSB is in Santa Barbara. (Well, Goleta/Isla Vista, actually, but close enough)

Oh, I remember that now. (And, yes, I was aware of UCSD's location, I just forgot which part of that state you were looking at...)
