wow alex you have such a creative brain!!! i really enjoyed reading this :D and the pictures were a great accompaniment. Your piece of prose is so pregnant (as shakespeare would say) with images of nature and the bitterness as well as the sweetness of humanity - what we destroy, what we create, and what we have the ability to appreciate.

This is a fantastic entry, I also enjoyed Golding's translation of Ovid's Metamorphoses. However, you seem to have gotten so much more out of it than me, which is evidenced by the innovative creative piece here. You really embrace the concepts of life, death and human nature. It is really impressive.

Perhaps the reason we can engage with texts in contemporary society is the relevance it has upon our lives. Through this entry, you really made me re-evaluate the nature of "tasting the golden age of freedom, while living the iron age of destruction." Perhaps we are kidding ourselves by considering our freedom? How free are we? Is it only a state of mind? Do we only have freedom when it is exercised?

As an aside, I really love your use of varying font sizes. It is more effective than bold or colour in conveying your ideas.
Thanks for sharing your ideas!
