Surprisingly warm

The leaves are turning orange, Alberto, last year's Christmas tree, is still alive and it's around 16 celsius, so like summer in Scotland. Carol's off playing Threads (a long-running LARP that I find uninteresting) so it's time for a catch-up session.

Thanks for the update. We play Race for the Galaxy here too, though recently I've been taken in by Dominions and Pandemic (both playable online at brettspielwelt.de).

I'm missing the RPG gaming, but LARPing next weekend at Consequences, then I should RPG at Dragonmeet the weekend after.

If it's going straight to picaresque, you could try Pelgrane's new "Ashen Stars" SF game? It's meant to be gritty lawmen in space, but all the silly alien powers turn it picaresque quickly (in my limited experience of it). Fun game, though.

I iike Pandemic, but I'm lukewarm about Dominion. Clever mechanics, though.
