I hope work gets better for you! But if it's making you sick everyday you probably should start at least looking for another job.

I know at Barnes and Noble they have a language section with all different types of books and tapes/CDs. One day you could just go in there and browse for a little bit. And I know it's really really expensive but Rosetta Stone (http://www.rosettastone.com/en/) is supposed to be really really good. But it's like $200 for each "level". So Barnes and Noble is probably a better option.
