There's only 11 states you haven't been to? Awesome! I'm slowly working my way through all the states myself :D

Well, it's worth mentioning at this point that although I've spent 6 weeks of my life IN Hawaii, I was a whopping 2 years old at the time. In filling out the map, though, I generally counted any state that I've physically been present in at some point in my life.

Here's my (notably less impressive) world travels map. I'm afraid that France in my case is another case of having not spent any real time there. We took a train from Italy (where we'd been for a week) through France to the English Channel. Since we had to get out of the train to go to the ferry (this was pre-chunnel), I definitely had to have set foot on French soil, but that was really about it.

France is overrated. Southern France is amazing, but Paris just rubbed me the wrong way. If you want to go to France, go to Provence instead. :)

I didn't count some countries that I've physically spent time in. Well, I guess that just includes the Netherlands, since I've flown through the Amsterdam airport three or four times in my life.

Did you ever clear customs or not? We did in France, so I do count it. Not sure if it counts or not if you haven't....

We were in Colorado when we got tired, so we drove back right across the middle of the country. Oklahoma and such, I think. I don't remember much except for stopping for gas in Ohio in the middle of the night.

Oh, wait, you've told me about this before. My mind still boggles at the thought of driving from Colorado to Jersey nonstop.....
