I swear I thought you were doing the goth thing when you arrived at my brunch - hope that eye mask helped. How's the ole kisser these days? Swelling and color down?

They *do* look kinda cool, though. You should take some pics in raking 3/4 light, with high contrast. You look badass.

Eek, I realize this occured back in January, sorry... were the cameras, the ones actually inside the BART cars at all helpful in prosecuting or catching the perp?

Not that I am aware of. The cops seemed pretty befuddled, all 10 of them standing around trying to figure out what to do with me. I got them to just take me home eventually.

I wasn't clear headed enough to think about those cameras.

Wherewithal post mugging/beating, I've unfortunately been there and can well understand how the cameras were not your first thought ;-). The reason I mentioned them was that I was on an East Bay bound BART when a group of really cracked out 8 year olds (no, really) ran through the train acting like a bunch of pint-sized thugs. The train stopped at 12th ST. BART cops caught the kids and an announcement went out for witnesses (the kids had assaulted some folks a few cars back) to come forward to sign complaints and to verify what was caught on the BART cars' tapes, to be used as evidence.
