Is this thing on?

So, I know I haven't updated this in forever. And it's funny, because I had pretty much written this off and told myself I was never going to use it again. I thought I was too old for something like this and that I didn't have time for it anymore. Yet here I sit, writing in it once more. Weird ( Read more... )

How exciting to hear about your trip and the ways God is working in your life. It's crazy isn't it?? Who knew back in the hallways of McBain Elementary running up & down that one day we'd be out in the world. I haven't gone far, but Grand Rapids is my home now and soon yours will be Louisiana. Craziness! I miss our talks so much, and I hope that we can get together again soon. Take care,

Jessi

Hey!

Seriously, God is out of control. And yeah, 4 years ago I did not see myself heading in this direction and taking this step in life. It's a wild ride right now, but I'm enjoying it. We will have to get together again before I move off into the wild blue yonder. I know you and Erica both are in the GR area, so maybe I'll have to make a mass visit down there some weekend. I hope the wedding planning is coming along! Take care and be blessed!

And I can relate to the finding friends as well. I made the most wonderful friend in onl 5 months in New York, and she is easily one of my very best friends. Slightly below Abbey ;) Couldn't imagaine going through some of what we went through with out her. So glad you have someone like that.

So when I get to LSU in Jan. I need to have your friend show me around. :-) haha Or I'll just figure it out myself, which will probably be way more interesting and fun.

Isn't finding quick, true friends in such a short amount of time fun?? I love it. But I haven't seen him in two weeks, so it's driving me a little crazy. But Wed. we will be reunited! Hope all is well with you!

I haven't seen mine since May. But we talk and text, so it's not bad. Plus we'll both be in Chicago in the fall!

Dave, I'm so proud of you! I'm so glad you are taking this step of faith to do God's work in the south. I'll be praying for you as you leave your friends and family up north. It sounds like God has been preparing you for this, bringing a good friend to go with you... wow. We serve and Amazing, Awesome God!
