seriously, our architect rails against comments. he says if the code needs comments, it's too complex, and if it's simple enough, you can just read it. i comment anyway, mostly for my own reference, since i rarely remember what i've done the next day.
so, on to the databases. wtf? we have one database for everything we do. like 10 million tables, but still. i mean, we have different pipelines, and different databases to support those, but they're never used in parallel, nor referenced directly... you can use devtest or devspec or cert dbs, but those are all populated separately.
