Oh, OW. Oh, Buffy. Oh, Dawn. This was painful to read because I could guess at what would happen. The interplay between the sisters made it even harder. *sigh* Wonderful.

I really like how you've set up the foreshadowing and parallels in this, as well as the fairly typical sisterly disappointments Buffy has dealt Dawn that will now haunt her. Those elements just make this all the more chilling.

That was well done, and horrible. Oh, you know what I mean -- you did such a great job of setting us up, showing us sisterly love in action, only to end with this end; like getting sucker punched.
