If he's a cog, Lúthien is a whole clockwork unto herself. If ever there is an emblem of literal and figurative light in the midst of darkness, here you have her, and destroying her in such an ignoble way by a character depicted as all but incorrigible would hamstring the theme of eucatastrophe.This is very well put and describes her to a T. And I agree that "Beren had the assist." Although, born out of a culture of manly courage and so many nameless women, Beren is a pretty awesome dude that he can handle Luthien's style and play the role of support which it requires

I forgot to thank you for the wonderful stuff you wrote above about the paragraph from the character bio. I am thrilled that you liked it so much. (I really appreciate even more than usual your help this month. I really had a hard time concentrating and wasn't feeling very well and that means you got copy that was harder to read and check. I will honestly try to do better next month! Not swearing to Eru or giving you a ring to guarantee it though. I do learn something writing these things.)
