November pause

Nov 30, 2006 10:42

The branches begin to bend, heavy with rain that won't let go.

Oh yay! You posted! I was beginning to wonder where you'd gone. :)

I've noticed that I go through cycles in which I become an lj lurker for up to a month or so. I could say I am busy with school and life, which I am, but I still manage to silently scroll through my friends page.

I actually have a note here on my mini-sketchbook, scrawled on the commute home when I was looking at the sunset and thinking: Clouds. Hmm. Beautiful clouds. It says: "dawnba's vanished??"

I was going to send a note later today, but here you are. :)

Although I hate to think I worried anyone about where I've been, it is nice to be missed. :)

Unrelated to your post, but I love your icon! Is that a lovebird? It's so beautiful!

That's my sun conure (aka sun parakeet), Pepper. He turns 10 this January. :)

Well, considering that I'm his best friend, he is really friendly towards me. He's also pretty playful and demanding of attention. He can get quiet and snuggly (like in the first icon) or antsy and loud.
He gets along okay with both of my parents, and one of my brothers. He doesn't really trust anyone else (and he will bite).
Sun conures aren't known for superior mimicking abilities, but he says "hello" (sometimes when the phone rings), "pepper" and makes kissing sounds. He picked that all up on his own, I've never tried to give him speech lessons. ;)
