It is such a relief to have hung my show. I ended up having to take apart the largest painting (my 14'er) to get it up to the 3rd floor, and it took me a total of 8 hours to get everything hung. No huge problems though. Twenty-three paintings total, most of which I haven't put online (yet). If you're in the area, come check it out, it will be up

It's funny, I will be up in Washington (Oregon and Vancouver BC as well) this next week. Too bad I'm not bringing my art show with me ;)

Wow... A few years ago one of my coworkers moved into his first house and some of us helped him out. During the process, they had to perform surgery on the box spring so it could get upstairs into the master bedroom. This was amazing to me, but I would feel even worse doing that to a painting. I'm sure it's done in an inocuous manner (like the box spring), but guess it's just against my nature to modify anything that's already complete. I suppose if there's no other alternatives, that would probably make me change my mind. :}
