I don't keep track of time, and I'd guess they vary wildly, but anything finished enough for me to show was probably about an hour... it depends more on the people in the sketch and how still they happen to stay. For example the go players were there a long time, but were always moving around, so it actually took me longer, maybe two or more hours for them.
These two are really nice, I'm glad to see someone else working this way.
Okay, that is about the time I would have thought for your sketches. Obviously you have a skilled eye and hand.
I'm surprised that more artists wouldn't be using their laptops for on-site digital sketching. It is certainly less messy than carrying paints and you are able to get an amazing range of color. Have you found anyone else that works this way?
