IKR? The closet...man, it is a freaking terrible place to be, and that doesn't even begin to describe it. The fear of being outed is all-consuming sometimes. Re-watching Theatricality, it just was heartbreaking to think about... :(

Ah, a Theatrical tag... Oh man, knowing all we know just adds SO much more to this episode.

"Can he actually hit the object of his affections, no matter how fucked up those affections are?" --Oh, Dave...threatening, insulting, rouging up, slushying and locker shoving are all ok? But not punching, huh? I suppose he just doesn't want to mess up that pretty face.

The way I see it, punching someone in the face is definitely crossing a line. The rest can all just be explained away as teenage boy roughhousing, but punching crosses the line into serious violence (at least in my head). And I like to think he has mixed feelings about the thought of messing up that pretty face, haha.

wow, I like this take on his thoughts on these scenes. Especially that last one with Azimio telling him to not pick on Kurt alone. dave really aws scared for a minute there!

I didn't notice that until I re-watched, but just the way Finn talked, I knew Dave would take it that way. And like I mentioned in a reply above, the fear of being outed can be so overwhelming. Especially when your best friend is someone less than understanding like Azimio.

LOVE that. Usually Azimio's an ass, and here he's still sort of on ass, but he's onto Dave and he's not an ass about that. So yeah, love your take on him :D

I'm not sure Azimio really gets it yet. I mean, my brother and his friends are always joking and insinuating that the others are gay, and they never really think it's true. I'll be interested to see what Azimio's reaction is in canon when he finds out.
