...If you wanted to share some kind of message with a younger version of yourself, what would you say?

[Simon's in the plaza today, hanging out by the fountain and pondering his journal. At some point he might be scribbling out a note on a loose sheet of paper.]

pondering one's fate, garlock

... A letter to your younger self? [Don't people usually write it for when they're older?]

Yes. This experiment might have given some people that kind of chance.

What's so different now you want to tell a tinier you?

I think it would be good way to encourage yourself, don't you?

This... has something do with all the crazy stuff that's been going on, right?

Mt. Zaleho. It probably would have been easier had I just jumped back in. [Creepy smile-but-not-really-a-smile is go.]

On second though, maybe "don't climb out" would be better?

Oh, now that is quite a difficult question.

What sort of things would you say?

I'm not sure. I'm still deciding on that. It's kind of hard to think back to what made me worry as a kid now that I'm an adult.

Mm...I think maybe reassuring yourself that things will turn out alright? I remember that I was worried about that a lot when I was a child.

[...Ahaha. In other words, lie?]

That might be a cruel joke to play.

Mind if I ask why?

[Hah. A few reasons, but the one that strikes he the most is-] Can't say I'm confident that the "me" back then wants to hear anything I've got to say.

I can see how that would be a problem. Especially if you need to warn yourself about mistakes you'll make.
