I believe that one of the shortcomings of my life is that I'm too whitebread. It really does bother me, because I wish that I had more cultural awareness. I wish I had more black friends, friends with very different beliefs, gay friends, etc

Derek's brother, who's in the Army, just got home from Iraq. He landed Sunday, his wife and kids (age 3 and 1) got to see him yesterday, and we all get to see him this weekend. We don't have an exact date yet, but he'll be home to his house very soon
