I spent a lot of today working out the Things That Must Change and How They Must Be Changed and naturally, this required a list ( Read more... )

About #3 - I can totally relate, although my number is significantly higher. I got back on Sparkpeople just recently. I credit Sparkpeople with the 10 pound weight loss over the summer, and blame my non-adherence to Sparkpeople for the fact I gained it all back this fall. The nice thing is, it's free, it's reasonably healthy-minded, and it's completely customizable. I can send you an invite if you like.

I fully mean to get my ass out hiking this spring and summer, and if I'm in your neck of the woods while you're off work, we should go together.

What is Sparkpeople?

Also, there are tons of trails up Trestle Creek. We should definitely go.

I just emailed you a link to it, so you can check it out.

I would love to go hiking up Trestle Creek with you. One of my plans this year is to have enough gas money to take trips places, especially to see friends.

Ooh! That looks like Weight Watchers without the monthly extortion! I like! It might be too much at once, though, so I'll check it out on Monday and see if it looks overwhelming.

Trestle Creek is awesome. We have to get to Lunch Peak just for the incredible view, but we might have to borrow Jeff's truck to do it. And we have to carry spares, because that road is brutal on tires.

1. I've missed hearing from you, so it's good to know things are still good, so to speak.
2. I am interested in being on the filter.
3. The whiteboard OCD makes total sense and my current desk has a white board built into it. I needed this badly for Grad School. I did the same thing with Grad school, mapping out all the bits and pieces, as well as rl stuff so I wouldn't get confused. Since my life has gotten a bit "simpler" I've been able to use Google Tasks, but I was also using Google calendar when I needed it. Basically, we all have our systems to keep track of life and we use what we need when we need it. So the white board makes complete and total sense.

...that's all I got. <3

I missed you, too!

I'll look at Google Tasks and see whether that will work for me.

Does life get simpler? Really?

No, life probably doesn't get simpler. It felt like it for a while when I was finished with Grad school, but since I have developed full time job, life got ...stream lined? I guess that's it, life doesn't get simpler, but it can become sort of stream lined.

Oh, I have missed you. *SQUEEZE*

I saw from your LJ that 2010 is getting its bags thrown on your lawn and a restraining order put out. I wish I could kidnap you for a day so we could hang out in a coffee shop and then go to a bookstore and just catch up.

oh, it's so good to see you! i've missed you _dreadfully_! *HUGHUGHUGHUGHUGHUG*

i do lists on paper (whiteboards aren't mcs friendly, at least not to me). i don't break down things much and try not to put too much on it (since the body isn't capable of doing a lot and if i overdo it gets sicker -- and i've learned that i _will_ try to do it all ["just one more thing!"], but the lists do help me keep track of what i want to be focusing on.

there's also a neat site called mindbloom where you can put daily or weekly (or in between) goals and earn points to have different pretty backdrops for your tree; lmk if you'd like an invite (via email).

I do the paper thing, too, but I think this requires a reminder I can put away less easily. If it's right there in front of my face, I can remember, "Oh yeah. I'm supposed to do that."

Thanks, I'll look at Mindbloom. I have a lot of great tools now. That's great!
