Okay, so changes happen.

Time passes, and things change. I don't like to work large anymore. I've decided digital art isn't so bad, or so difficult. Living in a motorhome at retirement looks like it might be something I want to do. Instead of looking forward to the next sexual adventure, I'm looking forward to my first grandchild. I have to cut sugar out of my diet as ( Read more... )

hi grandma - hehe :)
so, do you HAVE to quit sugar? or do
you want to?
i should sign up at deviantart - i don't know, i'll look into it more. i looked into it a while ago but didn't know if it would be a good fit for me or not.
i tried learning guitar (for about 15 minutes - lol) i learned the 1st few chords of "smoke on the river" from deep purple. isn't that what everyone learns? LOL!

I won't die immediately if I eat sugar, no... it's more a 'want to in order to restore balance' type of thing.

DA is interesting.. very powerful, lots of really interesting services offered to subscribers...

...btw, it's "smoke on the water".. *cackling* :D And yeah, monkeys can pick that riff up. ;-)

Like you said, change is the only constant. You might as well embrace it, or you'll just be constantly miserable. We do miss reading your wise & witty remarks.

Anyway, it sounds like you have some very good stuff going on. I'd like to see some of that small digital work you're doing. Where can I see it?

hahahaha! Yup, if you wanna come to my house, it's all over my Cintiq. =D A great deal of it is pornographic in nature, Beth. I'm taking some time to pay debts, and that's my currency. ;) The rest of it is simply experimental, like pretty much everything else I do.

it sounds like you are engulfed in magical tranformations... although your lack of presence at EBSQ in some ways disheartens me, i know and support that you are doing what you need to do for you. hope you got your Secret Santa gift and that you like it... keep taking those leaps... :)

warm wishes,
Lisa

Oh, thank the GODS you posted here, Lisa!! I got my Secret Santa gift, and want to tell you... I cried. It's beautiful, and the note you enclose warmed the shriveled little cockles of my heart. You are a generous and beautiful woman. I thank you, and wish you as much warmth and good karma as you habitually give.

Ahhhh....change is....what? Who can define it. Sometimes its good, sometimes its bad, but its always there. The trick is not to fear it. ;) Change of your own choosing for growth and fulfillment is a marvelous thing!

I taught myself a bit of classical guitar a couple of years back. Could pick out a quite pretty "Ode to Joy", accompanied by my sons' mad strummings. Even if it isn't your thing and you don't pursue it further, keeping the old grey matter sparking keeps you sharp. And music is one of the best things to exercise all kinds of lobes!

Sounds like you have a terrific year ahead of you! Wishing you success and joy in all your endeavors!

XOXO

BWAHAHAHAH!!! I learned 'Ode to Joy' today, the first two bars (is that what they're called? sections of about 8 measures?) of it, anyway. Frank brought home a couple of electric guitars last night (i snagged the Gibson --no fool, I) and I've got a musical genius friend here teaching me the basics. It's a beautiful thing. :D I also learned some basic chording techniques and some lovely blues licks, and a scale thingie or two. I haven't felt this alive in a long time.
