today i went in for an oil change on the Prius. you know, the checkup you get every 5000 miles in hopes that nothing major is wrong. it's like a pre-emptive doctor visit VS. WAITING FOR THE EXPENSIVE AND CATASTROPHIC ER. but let's let that analogy go for now ( Read more... )

If it takes 3 hours to cut your hair, there is a problem. Sorry to hear about the Prius problems given how new the car is. I know that Java is annoyed with the amount of work we have had to put into his car this year but at least that car has the excuse of being >10 years old (2002 Honda Civic).

well, it IS a 2008 and this IS the first official non-maintenance repair i've had to do to it.

let's just hope this is the first for a long long long while!

Well, it will be the first for the rest of the car's life. Hopefully it will be the only one for a long long while.

A seeping water pump? So your car was crying?

I've never had to replace a water pump. Neither has my wife. So I guess you have been lucky. :)
