as near as we can guess, we think the person has Outlook the new version which apparently "stacks" your conversations. much like other email readers. if she doesn't know she was upgraded, or notice that the conversations have been condensed, or know how to get to other emails in the conversation, she really may NOT actually be reading any other email than the top email in an entire conversation.
it would explain a lot.
it would also be very very sad that she has not figured it out by now.
