AOL just sacked everyone on the AIM team except support. Logically this means that without engineering, without bug fixes, without security, this product will die.
aaaghhh please no ;_; i dont wanna lose it after like 8 years of use. i have NO IDEA what the freaking heck theyre doing with that wacky new aim, because AIM 7 is perfect in just about every way. I dont know why theyre thinking showing as little information as possible in the window is a good idea.
someone just make a perfect aim clone for me of how it was in like, version 5, and ill be happy
I use AIM more than Yahoo and MSN combined and this is sickening news. I hope someone can emulate AIM down the line on a network level, but since everything is tied to AOL database it's almost impossible to do so.
