My timetable has now been found out. It's not that bad. I'm in University for 13.5 hours a week, with about three hours of that being breaks, so all in all it should not be too taxing

I am gradually getting used to the accent, though there are some things people say that I just go, "What?" and they say it three or four times and I still don't get it then someone else says it and it finally hits home. Some of the stronger accented people are also very hard to understand but as I say I am getting used to it gradually. It's all a learning process. I also spoke to a 4th year Computer Games Technology student who is English and he hasn't picked up the Scottish accent at all so I am glad to hear that and hopefully I won't either, or maybe I will and it will be an interesting twist to my personality, who knows!
hehe! my dad wants me to go to ubi in scotland or preferbly dublin, that could be a very intereting time! 3 years over there would be an experience! byt doubt i will get in,plus i told dad that i would go if he found the course there and if he paid for the accomodation and flights to england to see ppl again!
i have to learn java this year and c next year... There is one thing i really like about this uni... we get 4.6mega bytes/second download on a 10mb connnection. though no porn or file sharing software :(
I have to learn java at some stage too, learning flash mx and c/c++ at first though. Uni internet connections are all great, I ran a speed test on this uni's line yesterday when everyone was on and it said the connection speed was 7MB or something like that, and then I tested it downloading two files at once, each got 2MB/Sec or so while everyone else was still using the net, it's awesome.
