Movies: Over vacation, we saw Star Wars (loved it) and also The Big Short, which is about the Wall Street mortgage manipulations that contributed to the 2008 crash. Has anyone else seen it? They were aware of how obscure some of this stuff is, so rather then trying to work explanations into dialogue or something equally awkward, they did a clever

They broke the fourth wall and had celebrities give explanations, often with little demonstrations.

What a great idea1 I look forward to renting that when it's available.

It was very entertaining. As I recall, Selena Gomez explains Collateralized Debt Options while she's playing black jack.

Also Brad Pitt was in the movie and that's always a good thing.
