Playing in the snow

The National Zoo in DC posted a fun video of a panda frolicking in the snow. Apparently the east coast blizzard is good for something.

That is too cute for words! I remember as a kid when snow brought that much joy!

Do you have snow? We're obvious too far west.

Oh yeah. We have snow. Over a foot of snow plus drifts from the high winds. I'm not complaining because evil boss from hell actually closed yesterday, so I didn't have to drive in it. Therefore, I've enjoyed playing in the snow too. My attitude will change Monday when I have to try to get off my still unplowed street. Of course, the snow is so deep I cannot open my car doors, so I guess the road doesn't really matter.

They have tomorrow to clear the roads. Around here, that would be enough time.

I saw that! So cute. I used get excited about snow until I had to drive in it. And we don't even get real snow. But then, we get the snow that turns to slush and ice and we have normal tyres and bad roads and no-one to do anything about it except maybe, just maybe, salt the main roads. I was watching the snow scenes on the news and I can't get over how much snow that is. Our country would come to a halt. And you're all talking about clearing pathways and digging cars out!

Today it's wet (surprise, surprise) but it's 12C (53F) at 10am. Very mild for January.

We hire someone to plow our driveway and snowblow our walks, but the roads still bog down. Ice is probably worse though. You have no control on ice.
