Book promotion is a pain

I'm drafting some blog posts to offer to book bloggers in the fall when DEEP AS A TOMB comes out. People do such "blog tours" these days because regular book tours are expensive. I'm having a hard time thinking of things to write about. I have 4 posts so far

What did you decide in the end? How many do you need?

I wrote one on what a workshop can and can't do for a writer, and another on finding and managing time to writer. I'll do another on voice and maybe one on character development. I don't know how many I'll need. It depends on whether I can talk book bloggers into posting them.

The time one would definitely interest me! Although, if I'm honest it's not really time as much as making myself put backside in chair at a computer after a whole day of using computers at work. Or making my brain keep working after it's been busy all day...

I'd guess that's the problem for a lot of people. It's like exercising. You know you probably should. But I've only ever done it on a day I had off.
