Just a thought...

Kinda odd... Saw Premonition this week and here I go have'n one that tomorrow's gonna be nasty. Well, maybe not so much a premonition but more so due to the fact I somehow came across a website mentioning that Chicago or Houston may be bad places to be on 7/27/07 due to a potential 911-2B type thing. Ick... I hope to hell not! Conspiracy theory? ( Read more... )

Premonition wasn't a bad movie, just suffered from alot of unanswered questions.

My biggest question - in films such as the Butterfly Effect where the main character can travel through time, or GroundHog Day, where the main character is reliving the same day over and over again - the story explains why this is happening. However, in Premonition, Sandra Bullock didn't seem to care why she woke up on Thursday, when yesterday was Sunday. She seemed kind of annoyed but didn't act like it was weird the days were out of order.

But... I think she was kinda more in shock because her husband's impending doom as well as the fact that he was about to sleep with some new assistant office manager.

Also, think about this way... If you're some tibetan monk who's been spending his whole life meditating toward the purpose of transcendance, then reaching that point wouldn't be so much of a shock. However, if you're someone that sort've slipped into that transcendance by "accident" (like our dear Sandra...), it would be utter shock, confusion, and an inability to comprehend really what was going on beyond a minor grasp that things are a bit whacky...

C'est possible?

I can understand her shock about the whole impending doom of her husband thing but I would at least attempt to uncover the reason why my days were out of order. Wouldn't you wonder why?

Yah... she went a bit stupid there... But remember, her oldest daughter didn't have scars at the beginning when she should have... So... The film wasn't THAT great about continuity or the full approach. I'd be curious to see a film that DID do something well along the line of which we're speaking though! ;)
