Yeah, the issue is more that the drive doesn't recognise the disc. Wondering if perhaps there are region (it's a dvd)issues ...

I doubt its a region issue if it's a game. But if it is then just downloaded "DVD region-free" (http://www.freedownloadscenter.com/Multimedia_and_Graphics/Video_and_Animation_Tools/DVD_Region_Free.html)
