After hours of research, here are the candidates I endorse for the election tomorrow. Let me preface this by stating that I am a social progressive and am fiscally moderate. I am a registered Democrat, so this is what my ballot like:

I don't know who all is reading this but I'll throw in my bit as well, I guess. My votes coincide with Forrest's with the following exceptions:

County Commission District 5: I'm happy with Rackleff, and I think Forrest makes too big a deal of the Coal vote. That whole issue was a series of misleading ideas thrown around from both sides. Dunno, I don't have any problems with Detscher that I'm aware of, but I do know I like Rackleff.

City Commissioner Seat 3: Again, I'm reasonably happy with Lightsey, and more so, I have always been impressed by her when I go to the City Commission meetings. She's just got a powerful air about her that I like. I don't really know anything about Armstrong... in part because I don't much care and in part because he doesn't seem to say much aside from that he's more environmental minded than Lightsey.

It may seem like the Coal Plant was a major issue with me, but it really wasn't. I just used it as a litmus test regarding environmentalism. I am a little peeved at Rackleff for running as a principled environmentalist who isn't afraid to take stands, but who then voted for working with the coal plant.

Sweet, thanks Forrest! Now that I know who to vote for, all I need to do is move to Tallahasee and become a registered voter before the next election!

I mean seriously, the only thing that was stopping me before was not knowing who's who... Can you come give me summaries of the MI Politics scene? All I know is that both candidates for Govenor are the devil.
