When Nico asks Percy if he’s ever been with, or liked, another guy, Percy hesitates. He stares pass Nico as if remembering, and his jaw clenches tightly. Though Nico is intrigued, he’s worried he’s asked something he shouldn’t have.
“Percy finally looks at him and then rests his forehead on his. Nico mumbles Percy’s name when his hand grips his knees.
“Yeah, kind of, I mean-,” Percy stumbles, and stops till the words don’t feel tangled in his throat. “It didn’t really work out.”
Nico waits but Percy never says who the person was. He wants to ask if it was Luke, but Percy is kissing him before Nico can even move his tongue.
It’s firm, a little rushed, and when Percy’s grip becomes tighter, Nico knows Percy doesn’t want him to mention it again.
