Note: I've been having Percy/Bianca feels lately.
Bianca has started this bad habit of calling Percy “dolphin” and other water-type nicknames. While with others Percy may get irritated, he lets it slide (somewhat) with Bianca---only because she means no malice, and he kind of likes it in an endearing way. Since Nico’s not around as much, Bianca throws all her sisterly instincts onto Percy: teasing him a lot, reminding him to not be a lazy bum and do his homework, or telling him to slow down when eating.
But it’s all freaking Percy out, not because “little dolphin” makes him feel less “manly,” or he feels embarrassed when in the middle of a conversation, Bianca will smooth his unruly hair down and mumble under her breath, “Boys are so sloppy.” Or when it’s only them hanging out, watching a movie, sitting at the lakeside, and Bianca will rest her head on Percy’s shoulder and say him and Nico are “the only real family I have left.” (The last one makes Percy’s heart want to jump out.)
No, it’s freaking Percy out because he has strong urges to kiss Bianca (everywhere, on her lips, for a long time). He can feel himself falling headfirst into a deep. destined to fail crush, and he’s certain you shouldn't feel that way about your cousin who treats you like a brother.
(It just really, really sucks.)
