This is so fantastic. I love the pacing of their relationship and how it slowly unfolds for them. Well done. :D

You apparently have a gift for making happy endings without being remotely sappy about it. :D Thank you for not copping out and making him miraculously regain his sight at the end. Little things I loved: Dan's slight limp, Rorschach buying strawberries with the last of his paycheck, Dan reading him his beloved newspapers, the black coat ♥, "all animals remember winter", Rorschach's terror of barbiturates, and about a hundred other things. (And as a classical Greece lit nerd, those quotes made me squee. :3) This made my day. Evening. Evening/late night/wee hours of the morning. XD

Oh boy, that's a relief, I do worry about that sometimes!

You are just the nicest person ever for leaving all these great comments! Thank you! Consider my day made as well. ♥

I loved this story. Seriously. Also -- thank you for not doing the whole "forehead/face injury" thing, instead going for the head. It always bugs me that people assume that a blow to the face affects eyesight, even if the eyes weren't harmed.

You win >9000 internets for A) doing the research, B) writing a convincing Blind!schach/Dan fic (and making it not only in character, but full of fluff at the same time), and C) for the abstract format that managed to follow what I imagine to be Rorschach's thought process (all over the place) and yet still make sense.

In other words, you rock.

I'm just glad you did your research- forehead is decision-making,behind that is movement and sensation, the sides are hearing and the back of the brain is eyesight -- giving new meaning to the phrase "eyes on the back of your head". LOL. I am a fountain of useless information ... XD

I kept not reading this story because I don't like short chapters. They bother me (unless it's like, Cat's Craddle or something). But I'm glad I did ( ... )

This is such detailed and perceptive feedback, it really makes my day to see a comment like this! Thank you for giving this fic a chance.

I thought that was both remarkable, but also very, very kind and respectful, something I (think I see) in the graphic novel.

I saw it there too, and it was one of my favorite things about the graphic novel. Even though Moore didn't flinch at pointing out the parts of him that were hypocritical, brutal, or just plain nutty, there seemed like an underlying sense of respect for him as a human being and an understanding for why he carved out his life the way he did. I'm really glad to hear you say I did something along the same lines.

...that people believe harmful things not because they're bad, but because of how they work,Oh yes, I agree completely. There might be some rare exceptions, but I think no one really wants to be the bad guy. Usually it seems like those kinds of harmful views spring up when people feel terrified of themselves or the world, and while it may not justify their actions, it's ( ... )
