Oh wow, this is fantastic! I love the low level of sorrow that emanates throughout the story and yet it ends on a note of such beauty (that hearkens back to Dan's memory and thus connects along the lines of Jewish tradition and -- yeah, that's awesome). So many little moments are great, too: Sandra/Laurie getting Dan's name wrong, Walter saying "Today's opium", "Matzoh?", the comparison of Sam and Sandra to the Millennium ad: it's all great. I love it.

Thank you, thank you! :D I really appreciate you pointing out the little parts you liked; I have to admit that those are pretty much my favorites too.

Loved this. You are awesome, as ever <3

I like that we can have surprise oneshots from you now you're not working on a huge epic anymore.

...OR ARE YOU???!

D'aww thanks ♥

Once I'm finished with my secret santa thing, I'm gonna be like a oneshot MACHINE. There are so many things I've been wanting to write these past few months. And is it just me or are there a lot more really good prompts lately? Bless you, KM.

Haha no, nothing epic right now, it's hard for poor eth to plan with me when I'm never actually online. :\

This is so wonderful. Everything leading up to the Hanukkah celebration is just perfect. It really made my heart ache to read about Dan going through that, but it makes the end that much better.

Thank you so much, it's good to hear that all that sadness at the beginning was worth it.

Aaaw. Post-Karnak fics have a tendency to be melancholy and beautiful, but this was one of the best and balanced it perfectly. Love it.

Thank you-- I was surprised at how Laurie ended up in this, actually. She's so interesting to write.
