... and I finished with a grand total of 65034 (out of 50000) words, and on top of that, I got to the stopping point I was aiming for. Looks like there's going to have to be at least one more books worth of material to resolve everything, and probably a third. Or maybe just 2 really big books. I suppose I'll have a better idea whenever I get

I broke 50,000 before the month was out, but I still have a ways to go. I've probably got about 75-80,000 words to get to before I can call it done.

My good friend Mike Morgan (you MIGHT have met him) took a look at the preliminary draft and loved what I have so far. I think once it's done and fit-up and polished you'll love it too.

I'm very proud of what I've done, although I have the same attitude towards any of my works that Kurosawa did: "What's your favorite / best of all your movies?" someone would ask him, and he would say, "My next one."

My parents are pretty unshockable, I think. They not only watched In the Realm of the Senses but admired it.

Aherm, you MIGHT wanna let me have a go at those misspellings and grammar issues, etc. I think we're just gonna have to sit down together one weekend and do it a few chapters at a time. I'm not sure I'd recommend you release it until after I work my magic editing touch on it. Meheheh...

wow. someone's been productive! kudos, hon!

and as a mom myself, the rule is smile and find a few dozen things you love about it, and say not a word about the stuff that offends. (not that much offends me. i'm, erm, may.) that way i won't get cut off from my grandkids, when i ever have any. sucking up for the future!

mmm, i think i just made my new battle cry.
