Dearly Beloved
Chapter Two
The Act Of Preparing

( Prologue) | ( Chapter One: So Much For The Wedding Night)

You are back again?

You know, I am beginning to get tired of you always coming here and asking me to tell you exactly what happened. Have you ever thought that maybe I do not want to relive it.

I do not suppose you have… Or if you have, you simply do not care.

Sorry, I did not mean to snap. I was… thinking about things. But I suppose they are not that important at the moment… not yet. We are not there yet.

So, I suppose it is time for me to begin again? Where did we last leave off? Oh, yes, I had just been kidnapped by two bumbling idiots.

I stepped into the shabby apartment, took in the second-hand furniture that did not go together in the slightest and thought about my mother. How much she would have hated the interior and go about fixing everything wrong. I laughed softly to myself, not wanting to gain the other two’s attention. The last thing I needed was for smelly-sock-Yoochun and horrible-kidnapper-Yunho to think I was crazy.

Yunho turned to me, looked me up and down, and brought a finger to his chin. I bit my bottom lip, suddenly nervous under his gaze and the fact that I was (a boy) in a wedding gown making itself known to my fidgeting form.

He walked away, entering some room near the back of the cramped apartment, leaving me standing in the middle of living room like an idiot. Yoochun had already made himself at home, half-slumped against a burgundy couch to the far left. He quirked a brow and motioned for me to sit down somewhere. I sat down opposite of him, in a mint colored chair that reminded me of Ji Hye (she liked the color green--even if it was that ugly carpet).

I carefully regarded Yoochun, short black hair and dark mischievous eyes. He was about as tall as I was, and his accent was a little strange. I compared him to my best friend, Junsu, and decided that those two should probably never hang out with each other… simply for the fact that they were polar opposites.

I was in for a surprise later, that was for sure. Maybe I should have considered that one saying about opposites being attracted to one another… and not just in science.

Yunho, on the other hand, had tousled black hair, warm brown eyes, and a stunning smile. He was taller than me by a couple of inches and his body was well-toned.

I remember wondering what he looked like underneath his clothes.

Wait, I am getting off topic.

It was not long before Yunho appeared again, with some pink material in his arms. He stopped in front of me, a sheepish smile on his face, and thrust the pink bundle in my arms.

“Uh… I didn’t think that you wanted to be stuck in that dress any longer. These are the only clothes that I have that would be able to fit you. Seeing that you are tinier than I am and Yoochun does not like to share,” Yunho started rambling, causing me to smile.

Yoochun looked at the clothes in my hands and turned to Yunho, silently asking him why he had pink pajamas, to which Yunho stuttered out, “Th-they are my sisters!”

I thanked him, following Yunho’s directions of where the bathroom was, and locked myself into the tiny compartment.

I washed myself quickly, so as to not keep my two kidnappers waiting (also, I did not want them barging in on me just in case they thought I was trying to escape from the tiny slit of a window above the sink). I grabbed the cotton material of the sleepwear and traced my finger over the smooth texture, thinking of home and Ji Hye. The pajamas had the familiar face of my sister’s favorite cartoon character, Hello Kitty (or something of the sort). It smelled of raspberries, a scent that I had always related to my lovely traitor of a sister and home.

I felt my eyes sting, thoughts of being so far away from home clouding my head. Visions of my mother, sister, Junsu, and even my father greeted me every time I blinked, and I just could not help but give into the pressure against my eyes. Silent tears trekked down my cheeks, and before I knew it, I was being cradled in a warm embrace.

“Shh, Jae,” Yunho cooed against my neck, rocking me back and forth in an awkward attempt at calming me down. “It’s going to be okay. We aren’t going to hurt you.”

Thinking about it now, I cannot help but to laugh at the irony of his statement.

I see that you are confused by my previous statement. Do not worry, all in due time. All in due time.

After calming down thanks to my loveable kidnapper, I found myself sitting in that same chair, only this time facing Yoochun’s bored expression and Yunho’s handsome face. They were discussing me quietly , casting wary glances at my form every so often. I did not hear what they were saying, still lost in my thoughts and trying to make sense of what had happened.

“Have you ever felt as if you were being watched or something?” Yoochun asked abruptly, standing from his seat and making his way to the front door.

“What the hell are you talking about, Chun?” Yunho queried, looking at me to see if I had a clue, to which I mouthed, “He’s your friend, not mine.”

Yoochun pulled open the door quickly, causing an eavesdropping familiar face to fall on top of him. A string of not-so-nice words flew from Yoochun’s mouth and a lot of apologies came from the other. I smiled upon figuring out who it was.

“Junsu!” I cried, attacking the man who had just gotten off of the perverted kidnapper and causing us both to fall down on Yoochun.

“Jae! Are you hurt? Did this scary man touch you? If he did, I’ll bite him,” Junsu rambled, casting a glare to Yoochun who he was currently sitting on top of.

“Please, no more biting!”

“I’m alright, Su! See? No broken bones, no scary man fingerprints, nothing out of the ordinary,” I replied, trying to soothe the worries of my four-eyed friend.

A throat was cleared, and all of us turned our attention to Yunho--clearly confused and left out of the loop we had forcibly dragged Yoochun into.

“Um, who are you?”

Junsu smiled, hopping off of Yoochun (but not before elbowing him in the stomach), and stuck out his hand, “Kim Junsu! Nice to meet you. Were you kidnapped by that scary man, too?”

“What the--fuck, that hurt!” Yoochun whined, holding his abdomen and trying to stand up. “And there are a few things you should know. I am not scary. He is my best friend. Your friend looks like a girl. And you suck!”

We all looked at the pained Yoochun, casting him varying expressions (Yunho-amused; Junsu-disbelieving; and mine was a bit of everything in between).

“The scary man is right. I am his best friend, Jung Yunho. He is Park Yoochun. And this whole thing was a major misunderstanding.” Yunho and I explained what happened (Yunho leaving out the part as to why he wanted to kidnap my sister--something I had desperately wanted to know), all the while Junsu sat on top of Yoochun (he still believed that ‘scary-man’ was going to attack me).

Then they asked Junsu the question I had been wondering all along.

“How the hell did you get here?” Yoochun wheezed from beneath my best friend.

“Well, I saw the two of you kidnap Jae, and I could not let you two have your way with him. So, I did what any best friend would do. I slipped into the trunk of your car and here I am now!” Junsu said as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.

Yunho furrowed his brows, asking, “How did you get into the trunk?”

Junsu placed his hand on Yoochun’s wavy brown locks, running his fingers through the strands absentmindedly, as he answered, “Scary man isn’t very smart.”

Yoochun grunted, rolling over onto his back. He tried to sit up on his elbows, causing my best friend to slide down from the other man’s waist and onto his crotch. I watched, bemused, as Junsu’s adorable face flushed bright red because of the action.

“You rode in the trunk of a car for over an hour because you were worried about him?” Yoochun asked incredulously to my still-embarrassed friend. “What are you in love with him?”

“N-no!” Junsu spluttered, shifting uncomfortably on the other’s lap. I began to wonder why he just did not get up, but then again, Junsu could not think straight when he was flustered.

Yoochun smirked, saying haughtily, “I knew it! You are head over heels in love with me--hey, stop moving!”

Junsu hurriedly jumped off of Yoochun, scurrying towards me as if Yoochun had a horrible contagious disease.

“He’s trying to molest me, Jae!”

I sighed, ruffling Junsu’s short brown hair. “I think he was warning you before he jumped you, Su.”

I laughed loudly at Su’s scandalized expression--his innocent eyes darting to and from Yoochun who still lounged on the floor. Yunho rolled his eyes as he sat down on the empty burgundy couch. He waited until Yoochun finally picked himself up off the floor (winking at Junsu who squealed and hid behind me) before he spoke.

“Even if it was accidental, we cannot let the two of you leave our sights until we are sure that we can trust you.” I nodded in understanding, seemingly calm on the outside but still feeling homesick behind my poker face. Junsu did not take it well, whether or not it was because he could not go home or for the fact he would be stuck with the pervert across from him, I did not know. “So, sleeping arrangements…”

“I want Jae!” My squeaky friend said latching onto me like a second skin.

Yoochun shook his head stating, “Not going to work. We don’t trust the two of you, so we cannot have you two rooming together and planning your escape”

“He has a point,” Yunho said as he got up from his seat and made his way towards Junsu and I.

“I’ll take Dolphin,” Yoochun drawled, pointing a slim finger at my best friend.

“Wh-what!? N-no!”

“It’s settled then,” my sleeping partner said, clapping his hands together and ignoring Junsu’s stuttering outbursts.

I squeezed Junsu’s hand, giving him what I hoped was a reassuring smile (it is hard to make someone feel better when you are not too cheery yourself, you know), and prepared myself for the long night ahead.

But nothing prepared me for the events that were about occur.

For pictures and banner go ( here)

I know I said that the next update would not be until Friday, but change of plans! :) The wonderful
saihchan gave up precious study time to finish the banner for the story--and it is beautiful might I add! I love you so much, Saih, and that is why chapter two is dedicated to you because you did not have to get it done right away--but you did and you love this story (and I am not a tease :P)

So, what do you think of this chapter?  It is longer than the first, but I was just very excited about posting it, that I wrote a tad bit more than I had intended... But I like it better this way.  There are also several hints as to what is to come in the next few chapters.  The kidnapping, Yunnie's lie, all questions that have been asked so far are all kind of interconnected.  You are all guessing quite well--I am very pleased/impressed.

Hope you liked it!
