I've been through this scenario 103434094395 times in the past few years, weeding out the people I don't have the time and energy to put up with anymore. It's tough, but essential for your mental health. (And it's actually easier to do it when you're futher away).
Coincidentally, the first person I ever went through this with was Hannah. (If we're talking about the same one, which I'm sure we are). I feel sorry for her because she's been through an awful lot in her life, with - seemingly - very few true friends that care about her enough to help her out.
But sometimes you just have to let it go. The pain you'd feel to let them out of your life isn't that great compared to the hurt they put you through continually when you stay open to them.
