X Japan has apparently agreed to play at Lollapalooza in Chicago! The dates are August 6-8.

It was reported on ANN
and by Jim V. of Otakon

Its the weekend after Otakon, so I am not sure I could take off. but hmmm....

I don't know why, but I find it very odd they are playing Lollapalooza?

LOL!

Did you call about your tickets?
I tried but kept getting the busy signal, so I emailed (which I doubt they will answer)

I am sure they are swamped with questions and complaints. i was charged too so lets hope we have our tickets.

I read that some people after they talked with them found out that they do not have the tickets they thought they bought and that KoreaTimes resold them. I hope I read that wrong, but if its true I will not be 100% sure until I have the ticket in my hand.

while I agree tis odd they're doing Lollapalooza, they've got Stevie Wonder headlining Glasto this year, which proves anything is possible.

I'm more upset that most of my bands probably won't be coming over here at all! so if you can go, by all means go :)

Not sure what I am doing yet.
I did glance at the list and wouldn't mind seeing some of the other acts, but not sure if I should take off. Plus X Japan has canceled too many other dates in the US. Hate to take time off, pay for ticket and plane and them not even showing. So need to wait and see on this one.

have Lolla already announced major acts already? a lot of the earlier ones haven't yet...I'm really shocked that Muse is headlining everywhere it seems. it kind of begs the question, what's the point of thinking about going to multiple festivals if the same bands are going to be at all of them?
