Please don't take offense for this questions, but is English not your first language? The way you phrased some of the sentences are interesting. They made this piece sound very poetic. Whether or not English is your first language, I'm impressed.

I really liked the 'earthy vines and childhood/first time' descriptions. Very lovely.

None taken. It is correct, English is not my first language (I'm not very soft spoken). My literature professor used to teach me how to distort words, connect them to phrases to create a different signification (or a different impact). I do hope I'm doing it in an appealing way.
