a note on my iconning process

I am probably one of the least talented iconners out there, which I don't say out of modesty but out of concern that people who like my icons think I am super awesome. I mean, I am very grateful that people like to tell me I do a good job and it's always nice to hear when people like the icons but here is what I do.

I cannot express how much I resonate with this post.

Are you over at pinterest.com?

And I'm replying here....because....I'm hoping you remember who/what/where in regards to the original artwork for this icon. *points to amazing icon*

Hey, sorry I took so long to get back to you. If you haven't already figured it out on your own, it looks like the art is by Glenn Arthur! And no, I'm not at pinterest :0a /checks it out

Thank you SO VERY FREAKIN' MUCH!!!! It's a huge relief for me and I'm indebted. No apologies necessary for the wait - I appreciate that you took the time.

Let me know if you need/want a pinterest invite.

I think you're right, to give credit as much as you can, but I thought you ought to know that I think you ought to get some credit for having a great eye for what you choose to crop and upload the creepy girl who almost exclusively uses your icons said. You know? While I can appreciate the masterful process involving in some people's iconing from a photoshop bumpkin perspective, mostly, I don't want fancy stuff. I just want something beautiful, or quirky or with Batman on it, and not so much well done up.

I know you didn't contradict that particular opinion at all in your post, and though humility is +65 morality points, I think you should know that you're bringing more skills to the table than a glorified crop-bot -- you've got an eye for some good stuff!

god, I hope that didn't sound too weird?

OH WELL.

Fdhjhdhf. Sorry I took over a friggin month to reply to this, but I often feel really awkward responding to praise. Thank you so much. That's really what I'm going for, I'd rather let the picture of whatever I'm iconning speak for itself... because I can't do anything fancy, haha. Also, Batman, always.
