Oh my gosh someone else who has heard of Richard Brautigan ! I'm going to go buy Trout Fishing tomorrow , is it worth it ?

I prefer his other stuff because it was so bizarre overall but GOD, there were some really gorgeous bits. I'd say yes!

I've only read his poetry , which I find quite childlike but I like it , gorgeous is exactly the word I'd use.

I like your list! I've never read anything by Banana Yoshimoto but I'd like to, what would you recommend I begin with? I actually went bookshopping the other day, but bought a whole bunch of other stuff instead. :/

Her writing is soooo light and poignant, theyre only quick, you could finish them in a day or two, I started with Kitchen but I recommend Asleep or Hardboiled Hard luck to start. I put a little exceprt of Lizard in my last entry. Theres nothing wrong with buying too many books ! :)
