So I got to see my family doctor yesterday and wow - do all doctors suck or is it just me? I mean, he was slightly better than the other doctor I saw, but he was still a fail. He didn't even LOOK at me for most the conversation, just wrote shit on his pad, he left the room three times to talk to his wife and some ... other random person, and then

Unfortunately a lot of doctors are assholes, but not all. My favorite uncle and my favorite cousin are both doctors and they're two of the smushiest, most empathetic people you'll ever meet. But, unfortunately, I think as with all people it is the same: most people are shitty, some are awesome, and that's why things suck.

Yep, feel my sage wisdom on that one.

But this is terrible for you. :/ Everyone should be treated with dignity and respect, especially when it comes to their health.

Yeah, my generalization is ... too general, I know lol I mean, there ARE good doctors out there, there MUST be. I've just never met any of them -_____-;

I'd report his ass to Ontario Health, actually. I know they don't get paid as much as they'd like -- but really. No.

Also? If you wanted to fuck with him, you could call back Monday and ask whether you should worry about the way whatever he RXed is causing your arms and legs to swell up and your pee to turn blood red. And then, when he says 'OMFG, go to the hospital RIGHT NOW,' reply 'Well, I could. Or you could try listening to your patient when you're in the room with them.'

So, what was the diagnosis? Shitty doctors are shitty, no two ways about it. I might also put police officers in there with doctors and teachers. Not really a job you want to sleepwalk through without giving a shit for the people you're helping.

Basically, the blood in the area has clotted/gotten "bad", so it can only heal on its own, which will be about 3 months -____- That's such a fail. That's, like, the whole summer!
