David's a military brat - his father's a high-ranking officer and his mother's a diplomat - so he grew up moving around a lot, to different bases in Yokohama, Cairo, and some time at the UN in Geneva. His mother's (old money) family is from Cambridge, Massachusetts though, and they go there for the holidays when they can, so he'll identify that as
