If a man points a gun at someone's head, and pulls the trigger, but it's a dud, is he a murderer?

No. I take my laser tag gun and shoot you with it. Am I a murderer?

a hero makes a good sandwich
You are a murderer.
E.g. if you play arround with a male blowdoll and you get horny, are you not gay?

No such thing as a hero, because someone's definition will always have a person that fits it, but isn't.

Every thing you mentioned is extremely subjective

I may consider peace the outcome of pacifying a race and subjugating them.
Women in abusive relationships love without being loved, they're heroes?
A boxer can fight without hating his opponent.

I rest my case.

That's right, I forgot that some people don't believe in good or bad as absolutes :P But you do, dont you? If I asked you whether rape was good or bad, you wouldn't say "sometimes good and sometimes bad", neh? (And no, I'm not reffering to how the actual act felt. Pervert. ;P)

They were meant to be read by an intelligent audience who didn't take them at literal meanings ^_o In other words,

Making peace between two people who are in a fight, or making war with someone who threatens them.
Being able to feel compassionate towards even those who do not or cannot in return.
Doing what has to be done without letting it taint your overall personality.

And of course, I mean all of these things at once, not individually. Should have stated that I guess, otherwise yeah, your examples are a valid counterargument.
