these are lovely, megan. i am especially impressed with the cropping in #27.
you know what you should do? read shoebox. you think you don't have time, but you are wrong. once you discover the awesomeness you will make time, just like you make time to make icons. and then you could make 930840918 billion quote icons because there are so many amazing quotes and you are way better at text icons than i ever could be. oh, the possibilities.
<3 Cory! I actually was thinking about reading some Shoebox and, I have some time tonight so I suppose I shall start. Thanks, I think I have gotten a pretty good feel on what makes text icons look nice. Over six months of practice. All my icons that involve pictures are touch-and-go... I use/blend such a variety of styles and follow so many whims that what I try on one icon looks great but another looks like crap. The one thing I especially admire about your icons is that your coloring and text usage follows some set styles that always work, but you tweak them to each base so every one is unique. You know what I'm saying?
