As I walked around grounds today, I was expecting to see more. Of the hundreds of people I passed on the way to classes, I saw three who showed any outward support. I don't care that it happened five years ago; the families of those who lost their lives and the families of soldiers fighting overseas haven't forgotten... and never will. i felt the EXACT same way this morning. it was like no one even cared what day it was. i'm glad that at least someone cares as much as i do.

What a shame more people didn't come out. At least *you* have an appreciation for what happened, and that's saying something. :) (Thank goodness your Dad was well out of harm's way by the time 9/11 happened.)

I am sorry that no one showed their support. My ex was in the navy during the first Gulf war (Stupid name) and I always supported the troops, whom I know have no control over policy, they are just doing their job. I live in Washington state and did not know anyone directly affected by the attacks but they affected all of us. I think that some people have *magical* thinking and believe that if they act like it didn't happen then it doesn't change their lives or some crap like that.

My life has not been the same since 9/11/01 and I am not pretending that it is.

Sorry about the rambling I guess your post just moved me.

Remember them all!
