Oh man, last night was the best night of my life. I swear.
I MET KIRBY HEYBORNE. Hehehe that's so exciting.
Ok, so last night my mom, Beth, and I went to the "Saints and Singers" concert, with Larry Bagby, Corbin Allred, and Kirby Heyborne. It was a great concert! They each did about six songs.
Kirby was last, and he did 'Perfect Together', 'Stay With Me', 'Simon', 'Chances', and two other songs that weren't on his album (I hope he makes a new album soon!). Afterwards all three of them sang the Star Spangled Banner, and did an excellent job on it. :D Then the concert was over.
We were in the balcony, so we headed downstairs to the lobby to try and get a glimpse of Kirby (or at least, I was). I went a little bit ahead of my mom, and turned around and he was RIGHT next to her. I nearly died. XD So a bunch of people started crowding around him, and getting him to autograph whatever they had. A couple of people cut ahead of me, which made me mad, but there were about 100 people behind us, so I figured it wasn't as bad as it could've been.
I eventually got up to talk to him, and got him to sign the poster my mom grabbed. He noticed that I was wearing a Beatles shirt, and we started talking a little bit about the Beatles. I said that I started playing guitar because of the Beatles, and he said that he taught himself to play from a Beatles book. :D He also told me that he named his kids after Beatles songs: Maxwell and Sadie. He seemed impressed that I knew both of those songs. ;) My mom also made me tell him how many times I've played 'Chances' on the computer (840 something, but it's like 850 something now lol). He was like, "Wow, that song is deep." and I said "I know. I love it!"
I also got my picture taken with him, on my cell phone (so it didn't turn out so great lol). But he put his arm around me, and his face right next to mine, and I put my arm around him, and my mom took the picture. That was the 2nd greatest moment of my life. The best moment of course was looking directly into his gorgeous eyes, and having him look straight into mine. Wow.
So at the very end, I thanked him, and told him that I loved his album. He said, "That means a lot to me, really. :)" (Yes, he smiled haha.) I shook hands with him, and we left. I left in a complete daze. I'm just glad I was able to keep my cool while talking to him. XDXDXD
Oh, and here's the tiny, crappy picture taken with him:
I'm gonna treasure that picture forever hehe.
Oh my biggest flipping heck.
