I'm not sure who of you who live in our lovely Parkdale-High Park area know about the by-election that just went on, or if you voted, or if you know who won. Well, It came down to Cheri DiNovo, the NDPer. Without getting into details of mud-slinging because I don't like getting into politics, I just want to mention something that irked me this

Maybe it's just a top three kinda deal? Like if the greens had more votes than the conserves, then the conservs wouldn't have been mentioned? Haha I kinda like when they don't mention obscure runners, because then you get a pleasent surprise while voting and seeing the communist party :p.

True, it is kind of neat -- especially with party names that leave you with a big question such as the "family party" or the "freedom party" - wondering what on earth they represent, wandering what kind of balance the candidate has between being a wacko or being rational, and so forth.
