Voice anxieties

This is kind of weird, but I'm just trying to put into words exactly what scares me.

So yesterday I finally had voice (had to cancel Wednesday because I was still sick), and I had another Mozart day. Started with Vedrai again and sang really well, if I do say so myself. Mary was once again surprised by my tone and said, "I would say it's almost ( Read more... )

You don't have to sing "Vedrai, carino" at all to get into University Singers. You have a nice voice, and you're good at sight-reading and recognizing parts--they'd love to have you! And Dr. Anderson is great fun. And loads of people take non-major voice lessons--not to lump you together with loads of people, but I think you'll be sure to get nonmajor lessons. Don't worry!!

I have voice phobias at VYT and French Woods. The minute I stepped on the premises I lost my voice. Huh.

Thanks:) I figured I didn't have to do it for singers, really, but I was getting everything prepared for lessons and such and just in case they were to ask for anything prepared.

Although I have to tell you, based on one performance, I thought you sounded great at VYT:)
