so most recently, i have decided that i am much farther along in pregnancy than the experts claim. now, im no doctor and i've never been pregnant before, but i have a few reasons i believe this. first of all, "implantation bleeding" happens around 6-7 weeks into a new pregnancy... this is where the egg implants into the uterus and causes a smidge ( Read more... )

As your closest official physician friend (I graduated on Saturday, and am now "Dr. Arnouville" - haha), I fully support and medically recommend your choice to do a natural birth. Epidurals, while essential to many people, do have their drawbacks. Women do lose a measure of control over their bodies, do not push as hard or in complete unison with their contractions, and have prolonged pregnancies. Ashley had a natural birth, and came out saying she would do it again. She felt like she was completely in control of her body, and while there were moments when it hurt like hell, she never opted for anesthesia (even though the nurses and anesthesiologists were standing in the wings to give it to her if she changed her mind, as they will be there for you). So go for it sugar, this is what your body was made to do, and this is one situation where you can change your mind at any point if it becomes to much to handle. But, I think you'll handle it just fine. Love you.

Hi there, pretty mama.

Ultimately, I feel that if you know in your heart that this decision is right for you, then it can't be wrong. If your body is telling you to do something, then I find it wise to listen. Also, as Jen said...if you change your mind, there are people there that will be on hand to help.

Your decision is most excellent, and I stand behind you no matter what you choose. Yoo can dooo eeet!
