Live at the Bike

As you all know now, I am in Cali and finished up our work out here and drove back to L.A. Scored a nice room at the Rennaissance hotel. KEWL SHIT! I am going to have to wake up hella early but I should rest well tonight. I managed to get 200 bucks out of my account and headed to the Bike. pot odds = amount of money in the pot versus amount of the bet you thinking of calling.

90 dollar pot, a guy bets 10 bucks, so the pot is now 100. Its 10 bucks to you, so its 100:10 or simplified, 10:1.

For straight draws and flush draws alike you'd probably want decent pot odds of 6:1 or better.

in the book Small Stakes Hold Em' by Skalansky and others it explains Pot odds, Implied odds, Reverse-implied odds and Pot equity. In the book, based out of how many outs you have (like if you have J 10 an flop is Q K 2, you have 8 outs to make a straight, 4 aces and 4 9's) it tells you how good of pot odds you need to call. Odds make decisions more profitable in the long run. These are all very very important concepts man. Trust me on that.
