Alas, after 4 videos I'm not really feelin' them. I get this SHINee/SuJu vibe from them and I just don't like it. Most of them are pretty cute, though. Thanks anyway~

I call it all cpop, though I suppose you could also say mandopop (I listen to some cantopop, but I think most people just call everything mandopop? Cantopop doesn't seem as popular on tumblr, at least. IDK, though).

Taiwan: JJ Lin (though he's from Singapore, he basically lives in Taiwan), Alien Huang, JPM, Aaron/Arron Yan and Mayday ... And if you don't mine super over produced: Show Luo. Also check out: taiwanesefanatic.tumblr.com

Mandopop singer form HK: Khalil Fong (he's more jazz)

Are you interested in mainland mandopop or cantopop (from mainland or HK)? I have some recs for both.

I've always just called it all CPop, too, but it seems like over the years people have gotten way specific about things.

I'm not particularly concerned whether the music comes from mainland or not. Mandarin interests me the most since it's what I'm learning but I'm not opposed to Cantonese.

I do know that the girl who runs the Taiwanese music blog doesn't listen to anything from mainland (which is a shame, there's some great stuff).

Let's see. Yoga Lin is one of my favorites (Taiwan). Wang Lee Hom (Chinese-American, mostly in Taiwan, but seems to be loved everywhere). Sodagreen (indie, from Taiwan) and Yen-J (also indie/jazz from Taiwan).

One of my favorite movies is in Mandarin and has great music, it's called Din Tao (Alien Huang and Alan Kuo/Ko are in it). It's so cute.

As far as female singers: my friend really loves S.H.E and we both like Rainie Yang (she duets with Show sometimes, it's cute) and Elva Hsiao.

Also, if you want to watch something funny and in Mandarin, I recommend watching eps/clips from 100% Entertainment, the hosts (Alien, Show and Butterfly) are hilarious/adorable.

I have a lot of artists to check out now and I'm excited! hehehe

Actually, I really like S.H.E., too. What I've heard anyway. I need to look for more of their stuff. I've heard of Wang Lee Hom and Rainie Yang but just never listened to them. To be honest I've never really known where to look for Chinese music and videos. But that blog will probably be a good place to start. :)

Thanks for all the recommendations! I'll certainly be busy for a little while. :D
